We share A LOT of interests and thought of how fun it would be to combine it all into one... She is such an amazing, kindhearted soul with the best personality that is always looking out for others. She lives in New Zealand and is still studying like myself, and is willing to contribute to the site as much as she can. This year sure has been one of the most difficult and eye-opening experiences for sure.. I'll give you a little insight of what has happened to me and my whole family, as I'm sure it will all make sense in the end.

I've always wanted to TRAVEL. It has been my dream to work, earn money and see the world. I belive that it is because I was born in Auckland, New Zealand, and grew up on the beautiful island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands.

Some of you may question where or what the Cook Islands is. The Cook Islands is made up of FIFTEEN different islands, located in the 'Heart of the Pacific' and to name a few; Manihiki, Aitutaki, Atiu and Mangaia are some of my favourite places to visit. So with a desire to travel, my family moved from Rarotonga to Tropical North Queensland in Australia. For work purposes my family was forced to settle down in a small town in the Outback, Mount Isa and begin a new life there. Totally nothing wrong with that, but my dying need to travel was always on my mind and so travelling to a new country was a trip of a lifetime to me. This was until 7 years passed and realised that I may have to be here for a lot longer than expected. Because you see, many people leave the Cook Islands in search for a 'better life.' And by that, I mean earn extra cash. The Cook Islands is operated by tourism and when not enough are visiting out beautiful islands, times get tough as many people have families to provide for. So that's exactly what my father decided to do. He had a very good job as a pilot for Air Rarotonga which is the only airline service within the Cook Islands. But he believed that by moving to Australia it would give us, his children, the opportunity to succeed in school and earn a living and not to have the stress of back home. The Cook Islands has always and will always be an escape for me and my family.

Fast forward to today, we are currently back in Townsville ready to start a new life. For me, a new school, new job, new friends, new dance group and a new ME . More will be revealed about me, my life, the struggles I face and more.
